Professional Engagement and Student Mentorship


Center for One Health Research and Promotion believes and creating a reliable environment for both students and professionals to learn and grow in their field of interest. And as result, our founding and associate team members have been engaging in various events, talk show, interviews, training, workshops and interaction programs to strengthen the professional career of students and professional individuals.



Dr. Bhima Thapa (Third from the right- bottom row) and Dr. Pratik Kiju (First from the right- middle row) were delighted to represent COHRP at the official launch program of the Antimicrobial Codex Texts (ACT) project in Nepal organized by Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO), Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC)- Nepal and supported by the Republic of Korea on December 5, 2022. The goal of the workshop was to understand the efforts that Nepal is undertaking to contain foodborne AMR, including the adoption and implementation of the Codex Alimentarius Standards on AMR. The workshop had around 45 key AMR stakeholders to discuss the extent of Nepal’s adoption of the Codex Standards for AMR, which included representatives from government ministries, producer organizations, research/academia, and public health agencies.

These mentorships can be sharing about ‘what is research and its importance to undergraduate students organizing research models or GIS training for students who have already taken off in the career field. Recently, our Founder and Director Dr. Rakesh Chand visited the Nepal Polytechnic Institute (NPI)- College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science, Bharatpur, Chitwan to give a session on ”Post Graduate Research Opportunities and Research Importance” to recent Veterinary graduates and intern students. The session was attended by 150+ students including some professionals.
